Dinosaur National Monument - General Park Information

As you explore the craggy hills, discover fragments of a long ago world where the largest land creatures of all time once roamed and died. While the main exhibit wall of dinosaur fossils is closed, some fossils can be seen by hiking 1/2 mile from the Outdoor Visitor Center. Other opportunities include viewing rock art and captivating scenery, exploring homestead sites, and whitewater rafting.

Dinosaur Virtual Museum
Dinosaur National Monument protects a large deposit of fossil bones of creatures that lived nearly 150 million years ago. Although the main exhibit of fossils in the Dinosaur Quarry Visitor Center is currently closed, this multi-media exhibit gives you a look at the remarkable fossils of Dinosaur National Monument.

The Dinosaur Quarry Visitor Center is closed indefinitely due to significant life, health, and safety issues.

9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. daily
For hours after Labor Day, call the park at (435) 781-7700. During the summer, ranger-led programs are scheduled throughout the day at the outdoor visitor center.
Closed Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years Day.
Canyon Area Visitor Center

8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. daily
For hours after Labor Day, call the park at (970) 374-3000.
During the summer, ranger-led programs are offered on request and when staffing permits. A 12-minute video provides an overview of the park.

ENTRANCE FEES
While the Dinosaur Quarry Visitor Center is closed, entrance fees are not charged. Traditionally, entrance fees are as follows (charged only on the Utah side of the park):
Annual Pass Fees: $20 allows the holder and all guests in their vehicle to enter the park for one year.
Family Vehicle Fees: $10, good for 7 days. Fee covers everyone in a single private vehicle.
Hike-In or Bicycle Fees: $5, good for 7 days.
Motorcycle Fees: $5 for single rider, $10 for double rider, good for 7 days.
